I'm not too inspired with OCZ power supplies either.

Just last night I put through an RMA request for the same line of OCZ PS in the 500w flavor which out of the box couldn't keep a AMD X4 940 quad running stable just with the desktop running. I replaced the OCZ PS with a Corsair 400w model and it's as stable as it comes under moderate to heavy gaming loads.

The above OCZ PS seemed fine while testing with a passive PS tester, but under even a light load it was completely unstable from the get-go.

I have had good luck with my OCZ Modstream 600w. However, I am only running an AMD Phenom II X2 550, an ATI 5770, and a single hard drive. I am hardly pushing the power supply, but it never hurts to have extra. I personally don't have a lot of faith in mid-range OCZ power supplies, but the price was right before rebate and only better after.

I hate OCZ rebates, nothing but bad luck for me, but other have had no problems. Just be quick on the rebate submission, their expiration and postmarking dates are short.
