The Sansa Clip is a great audio player. For anyone that cares about sound quality from their portable players, it's widely accepted that the Sansa Clip is one of the best and amazing for its price. The sound coming from the clip will easily topple anything Apple has to offer (IPod Touch, IPhone, any generation/model IPod), and rivals some of the offerings that Cowon and Sony have. Just make sure you have a decent pair of buds or cans to complement them.

But do remember that the Clip is purely an audio player. There's not much else you can do on it but play music.

i couldn't agree more. I bought a 2gb for $20 a few months back and frankly i'm amazed at how great a player this is for that price point!

FLAC playback is sweet.

i jumped on this deal in the hopes it's got v1 hardware, which allows the rockbox firmware to be used! even if it's not rockboxable, it's still a sweet little player with the stock firmware.

It has a MicroSD slot and a bit better design (buttons, clip is not detacheable, etc). Buy.com has 2g version, new, for $44 here [buy.com]. Great little player. I have the Plus. I think the Sansa Clip is great little player. The sound quality is great. My only complaint is managing a large amount of songs on the stock firmware. Its ends up being a lot clicking and becomes a bit time consuming when you have lot of music on it.

Unfortunately no, not while charging from your computer but you can charge it from a wall outlet and play music at the same time.
