Big difference between car adapter and AC adapter, which I need and thought this was. TD for wasting my time.

When I was the title, I thought "Too bad it's not a 12V adapter", as that is what I needed for my S10-2 (40W). Glad it was, ordered one.
OP - you might want to edit the title though, for those that don't want a car adapter. Last edited by talonts; 02-22-2010 at 10:21 AM.. |

Check your power needs before buying. Also read the comments on the Meritline page.

Not the highest of quality DC (Auto) power supplies. Looks to be made (probably) by the same people who make the Targus units. However, it could just be a targus knock off.
However for $13 it probably is worth it if you only will use it for very short periods of time (ie: less than 90 minutes at a time) or with low power requirement computers (ie: less than 65 Watts MAX). If you are using a higher powered computer, I would suggest making sure the battery is fully charged, or you remove the battery, to keep the power requirement down. |

But... it doesn't list lenovo as a supported manufacturer. It still might be, but I won't order unless I know for sure. Does anyone know what power input the S10 accepts? Last edited by elBradford; 02-22-2010 at 11:42 AM.. |

As to whether this will work or not with the S10-2, won't know until I get it ;-) It's worth a shot, if it doesn't, it should work with my laptop. It should, as it covers the voltage and amperage, and has the right tip, it just depends on how the voltage is set for usage (some set by what tip is used, rather than set via switch, and it's too hard to tell by the pics). UPDATE: Received the PS today, tested it only for charging, as I was using a 12V-110V adapter in the house, which wouldn't handle 2A, and it works fine with the white tip for a Lenovo S10-2 (20V, 2A, center positive). You set the voltage via a slide switch on the side. The tips have 2 pins on them, one larger than the other, so you can't reverse them accidently. Of course, that also means that if the tip you use is center pos and your laptop uses center neg, you're out of luck without cutting and reversing the plug in the adapter.
