Why do you buy a costlier wireless controller for anything? There is no comparison between a wired and a wireless controller.

Thumbs up. A wired controller supports just the one. A wireless receiver supports up to four. If you've got other wireless controllers (guitars, anyone?) that you want to use on your PC, the wireless controller is worth the investment. In for one.

The next cheapest price on Google products is from Buy.com for $50! I had a wired controller and I sold it and bought this a couple of days ago.

OP, ignore the blatantly stupid people who posted against you above. Look guys, last time this deal was 38.99$ on amazon, it hit front page, flaming hot deal. This is with the PC receiver. At best buy, these are 64.99$. Yes, you could buy one of these and attempt to return it at best buy and make yourself a 25$ GC, with tax.

This is different from just a plain old wireless controller. *facepalm*
