I just got an Dell with 3.2 GHZ, i5 processor, 8gb DDR3, from best buy for 900.00 so I would say this is a good deal. As far as the upgraded processor. It all depends on what you intend you use it for. I just use this one for the net and my school assignments so the i5 processor is really fast especially for what I use it for.

I might just go for it. Both my laptop and my PC died this week, and I need something reasonable quickly...
What about the memory upgrade? Is 8GB for $190 worth it? A quick search on newegg did not produce much better deals for memory, so it seems that Dell is charging a fair price... Or is 3GB ok? I don't plan to run any games, but I'm going to watch occasional movies, and will use photoshop and some slide show software... Sorry for newb questions - I haven't shopped for a PC in the past 5 years, and I'm completely out of the loop on what's good and what's not these days. Thanks for your advice! |

I have personally purchased from Tigerdirect and Renovate and both items came as brand new even though those are refurb. |

yes it depends on what you do, if there is heavy processing more RAM is better. but at this price it's awesome. I have built mine with similar specs and costed me around $900. I had much better components but 600 for this one isn't bad at all.
