HTC HD2 $99 Wirefly -$50 Bing w/No Tax & free Fedex New 2yr Contract Tmobile

Just got the new T-Mobile HTC HD2 for $50 from wirefly.com. Their New Contract price is $99 and bing is offering a $50 cash back. Search for wirefly.com on bing to get the link.
They do charge a $35 activation fee, but if you have a corporate affiliation, you can call T Mobile and ask if they will waive that.

wirefly is not t-mobile. they're just selling service and they get to pick price since its their inventory not t-mobiles. they have a lot of small print stuff and you have to keep the data and if you change your rate plan within 6 months or so they charge you fees.

I'm really tempted to jump on this...

50 for device
70 (40 phone+ 30 data plan) for cheapest service for 1 month
200 for early termination fee

so total for about 320? my university has a corporate deal with t mobile so i should be able to waive the activation.

there's also a 50 dollar rebate floating around for smartphone trade-in or something.

i dunno!!! it's a lot of money =(

Nice post OP, but those links are not good. you have to start at Bing.com and search for Wirefly, then click on the $50 cashback link. That's the only way to get the Bing cashback.

I would avoid wirefly like the plague. I had problems with a number port through them and had to deal with the indian phone support that sounded like they were in a tin can. Read the reviews, lots of people have had problems. Just my $.02

Not so easy. Wirefly does have their own Equipment Discount Terms & Conditions (see below [wirefly.com]) that would apply in addition to your standard T-mobile termination fee. They will charge your creditcard $200 or $300 for smartphone if you attempt to cancel or modify service within 180 days (6 months) inlcuding transfer equipment to another line or porting number from existing T-mobile accounts. So you need to factor that into your calculations. If you wanted to go this route, might as well just buy it directly from T-mobile for $450 (especially if you can get 35% cashback with Bing). Good luck & hope you don't get burned.

If you buy the HD2 outright from tmobile, will you still be required to have data? Let say you go with the even more plus voice plan. Anyone that purchase the smartphone from tmobile outright and stay with tmobile for service should be able to answer this question. I am currently using the N1 with the $10 data plan without any problem, but paid full price for the phone. Considering getting this for the GF if Bing CB is still 35%.

I may have signed a contract for this phone. Too bad I don't get crap TMobile reception at the office.

I don't think they will force you to get a data plan if you buy the phone outright. BUT, your $10 Web2Go most likely is NOT going to work because T-mobile uses IMEI filtering and you will get a splash screen asking you to update to $30 full internet planas soon as you still your SIM into the phone and try to use your data. I experienced this on Bold 9700 as well as Dash 3G. You might want to check by simply going to a store and asking to play with HD2, sticking your SIM and seing what happens. Your N1 is a totally different story (just like Nokia N900) which is not sold through T-mobile, therefore their system unable to tell which phone you are using (from what I read)! Good luck

Sprint has a much sexier HTC EVO 4G with android, and their plan is cheaper, but customer service sucks tho!
