Think I'll wait 4 weeks after release to grab it up for 39.99 plus some credit, like they seem to be doing with new releases nowadays.

activision/IW is completely milking these series for all they are worth. all the changes they made to the game were so they could prevent people from making their own maps so that they themselves could follow up with 'map packs' for additional money. maps, that are already contained on the original CDs/DVDs but are not accessible. lame.

add in that everyone good left IW and that treyarch isnt a very good developer and well, i'd just skip this one all together.

i'd also add they plan on making a mmo type fps with a monthly charge, comparing the franchise to world of warcraft. now that takes balls. i smell another planetside.

$60 for pc version again, looks like this is the new reality. and, just like with the previous episode, I will refuse buying it

And they will keep milking it as long as they are selling MILLIONS of them. It's gotten to be like Madden almost....I'm holding off til it goes on sale in January...

If you are a COD hater, why would you click into the deal just to post how much you hate the game series?

I for one think this game series rocks and treyarch is by far a better developer than IW could ever dream of. Dedicated online servers is huge.

yeah i got so caught up in my seething hatred for activision that i had actually forgotten to mention that amazon will probably match this deal in a matter of time. besides, why wouldnt i post a message about not buying the game if i feel strongly about not buying the game? people should know how greedy activision is.

and i guess we will have to agree to disagree on the games. MW/MW2 was much better than WaW, WaW was treyarch, MW/MW2 was infinity ward. that said they are all giving us the shaft. and yeah dedicated servers are a BFD so why continue buying their games? there will be NO dedicated servers for black ops, for the same reason i mentioned above.

and as someone said above, (and while i wont be buying this title) they will inevitably sell millions to people who are oblivious to the milking they are doing on this franchise (edit, or just dont care that they are fostering in horrible standards).

I know they are milking it, but I still bought it and the map packs. And I will be buying this, so thanks OP for the post.

I have to agree. I don't play the PC version (Xbox 360), but MW2 was a glitch filled mess. I stopped playing after a month and only picked it back up a handful of times afterwards. The are pushing these games out with no quality control knowing that people are going to buy them. Also, $15 for map packs? Really? I skipped them, just like I will be with this game. I traded it in and picked up BFBC 2.
