Thread Details

Folks,

I just did this.

Add
http://www.amazon.com/TYR-Hydrovi...904&sr=8-1

Proceed Check out

Sign-in (if you already have an account) or Sign-up(Create one if you don't have one)

Under Shipping options, click on ' Learn more & sign up '

If you accept the terms, click on ' Sign me up for Amazon Prime'

Close the browser, re log-in to your account. You should see prime membership for one year from the day you signed up.

Last but not least, turn-off auto renewal of prime membership. If you don't know how to disable auto renewal, please refer to other threads, or I can post it later. At this time, it is important to get this thread out and I have to step out.

Good luck!

Hey SD'ers This is just a hiccup in Amazon.com code. I have signed up for 3 free 1 month trials (under different accounts) in the last 6 months - EVERY TIME, the confirmation screen displays that the membership expires in one year. Likewise, all people I invite to share the trial get the same info. It updates within a day or so.

Sorry, this awesome, 2g2b deal IS DEFINITELY NOT TRUEshake head. Never has been.

If you want a Free month of Prime, it is always available provided you haven't had a Trial on your account.

You rarely need a specific product link to get the offer, and you never need to actually place an order then cancel it.

The easiest way to get 1 month Prime (been in your face ever since Amazon started permanently hawking Kindle on the home page) is to click on the omnipresent Kindle ad on the main page. Add to cart, get to page where it incorrectly tells you you have a 1 year Prime membership - and close the window.

You should get an email, if not open amazon again, and you will see that the logo at the top left of every page has Prime in blue italics under Amazon.com. This is when you should make sure that the auto renew is disabled.

Is this only for new Prime members?

I went through it and it looks like they charge you $79 if you click the sign up button.
