From the Target Ad:
"The Xbox 360 Arcade game system does not include a wired headset. To compensate for this error the price will be further reduced to $129.99"
July 4 - 10 Target has the Xbox arcade in the ad for $150. When purchased you receive a $30 giftcard. The ad states that it includes a wired set, which it does not. They have reduced the price to $130 which will still include the $30 gift card.
Not as good as the 130 + 50 deal that was posted a couple weeks back, but still pretty darn good for those who missed out.
Pics will be added once stores open on Sunday.
You can argue this with me like people did last time that I posted this (130 +50)...but don't waste your time arguing...it is official...it is happening...please don't make me prove you wrong again!
Get there tomorrow, I am sure they will sell out quicker than they did last time this went front page.
THIS IS NOW LIVE FOLKS!! VALID ONCE YOUR STORE OPENS!!
Q: Is this price drop permanent?
A: You should view these sales as a clearance sale because all of these old consoles will be replaced by slim models at $199 for an arcade so the $150 arcade will NOT be around for long
Q: why does the title say 'spring bundle' its not the bundle which is for $130 with $30GC.
A: Spring bundle is the last arcade fat bundle available. While it is possible some stores in low sales areas will have the older versions like one that doesn't have any games or maybe even bundles a different game package. Every single xbox made in the past ~ 2 years is a jasper so you will be getting a good one no matter what box it comes in.
Q: these are harder to mod?
A: the spring bundle does have a lite-on that is a bit harder to mod since you will have to know how to solder. The older bundles may still have the 8X series which is easier than the 9X one in the spring bundles
A: Seriously these are insanely rare now with the JASPER revision. Yes previous generation xbox's would RROD frequently the jasper does not. The classic RROD is due to overheating which was because the original Xenon consumed TWICE the power of the slim ones while playing a game. Every xbox revision has noticeably reduced the amount of power and heat which means each rev makes the RROD less likely
Q: I just bought one and got it home and it RROD'd
A: Take it back to the store I guarantee you somebody bought it, popped in bad internals and returned it to the store for a full refund. I personally had this happen to me and so did at least 1 other person in this thread
