what firmware version do you all have? the one that I have already on my TV appears to be newer than the one that Samsung has on its website.

when i go to support menu, and "software upgrade" submenu, and then click "info" on my remote, on the screen, it shows:

T-STL5PAUSFC-1020.0 2009/09/18

on the samsung website, the firmware download shows:

version: 1018.1 and release date of September 18, 2009


I'd like to enable the JPG/MP3 functionality on the tv.....can anyone help figure this out?

So, to confirm, using the steps you outlined above, and those in the Wiki for this thread, by changing the B530 set to an A/B560, we will be able to view pictures and listen to MP3s via a USB device. Is that correct? (And can't I do that now via my iPod dock?)

YES get that newest firmnware load .. restart then perform the SERVICE MENU change and USB pics will work.. no videos though.. only

i guess i wasn't clear...please tell me your firmware version number. the issue I am having is that my firmware version that came with my TV seems to be NEWER than the one that is on Samsung's website... 1020 vs. 1018

sorry i didnt even check mine.. i just DL the newest firmware on samsung site then loaded it on USB and updated it.. ill check later what version i am on now
