Thermaltake TR-800P 800W PSU for $35.47 shipped after BCB+MIR+eBillme
For people who hate MIR, please avoid like plague....
I just ordered this:
Thermaltake TR-800P 800-Watt Power Supply - ATX, 800-Watts, 120 mm Fan, 80 Plus [tigerdirect.com]
for $35.47 = 109.99 - 14.52 BCB [bing.com] - 40 MIR [highspeedbackbone.net] - 20 eBillme rebate for first-time eBillme users [ebillme.com].
The manufacture specs is here [thermaltakeusa.com]. I think it's decent, although not many customer reviews around.
Shipping is free from Tigerdirect, since most orders of $100 or more qualify.
The $40 MIR expires on 7/29/10;
The $20 eBillme MIR expires on 8/31/10
And of course BCB will disappear after 7/30/10.
So, you can take some time think about it.
I used eBillme last year once, paying with one of my bank accounts. Got the $20 MIR check in reasonable time frame. Now I tried to pay with another account, to be qualified as "new eBillme user", while the eBillme account number looked a little bit familiar (isn't it the one I got before???) I hope not, but that's beyond my control.
If eBillme identifies users by person, but not by account, then I'm screwed with this $20. Well then... $55.47 is not bad for a 80%PLUS 800w PSU either, lol
EDIT: I've got a Q8300 2.5GHz + 4gig ram with a 512M HD4870, not overclocked yet. used to have a Ultra 550w PSU. not fail but couldn't provide enough power when gaming.
Any thought on this 800w PSU, generally. Would it take up another HD4870 for crossfire? I probably would put another or two HDD, but that's not the concern for PSU. And also, how about overclocking a little bit - Q8300 is easy up to ~3GHz.
EDIT: I'll update whether the eBillme "new user" trick works or not.
FINAL EDIT: Sorry but I didn't read through the eBillme rebate, IT IS ACTUALLY FOR ALL EBILLME USERS!!!!! No matter first-time or previous users. WOW, that's solid $35.47 for this PSU, love it!!!
