Not exactly sure what the difference between the two is other than the recording speed.

$14.99 is much cheaper than anything froogle could find for these products.

The picture of the DVD-R spindles show 1-16X, so not a bad deal at all since the OM Verbatim deal is gone. Hopefully they are still packaging Taiyo Yudens in the "made in Japan" packs.

They are the TY media codes... I grabbed the $9 for 30 discs deal a while ago at staples and now its time to stock up at this price ... This is great media IMO..

I went to local BestBuy this afternoon. All Fuji 50-pack DVD+-R were 16x, Made in Taiwan. No sign of TY, or Made in Japan. The prices match the tread title. $14.99.
