Got one...LOOOONG overdue on buying another External drive & this one fits the bill perfectly in size & price!!!

Read this form Newegg, and I can't remember if the EADS or EARS was the bad WD drive.

Pros: Pulling the unit apart, you will find that the internal drive is a Western Digital WD20EADS Caviar Green -or- WD20EVDS Audio Video - these bare disks are currently selling for another $30 higher than this product (taking discounts into consideration). It comes pre-formatted as Windows NTFS which shouldn't limit file size transfers; 1663MB is the raw remaining capacity.

Cons: You can pull the disk and use it as an internal drive, however, the casing will not accept any replacements.
