Nice printer. I didn't try to confirm purhcase / coupon but it's a good printer for $80 and an even better SD if you can get one for $55 AC.

But my printer never printed in color from day one, i troubleshooted with Canon for three weeks and was gone out of town for one week, so STAPLES didn't exchange it meanwhile Canon send me a replacement unit. Funny thing is that even though i didn't use color ink, it was half empty and all i did was troubleshoot.

Can't say if this was the case for your printer, but many vendors ship printers & Multi-functions with "starter" cartridges, which are about half full. Personally, I think it's a little unethical, but it is what it is.

the thing with staples is unless you buy their warranty, their customer service sucks, before and after you buy.

Maybe someone here who has this printer can help me out. I have this printer but I can't get it to scan. I keep getting the message "insufficient memory". I tried working with Canon support by email, used up all their suggestions and now they want me to call their phone support. I would appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks.

im using a HP printer that is about 5 years old, and was a refurbished Big Lots unit when i bought it. it prints and scans/does copies. It has always worked well for me, and still does... but if i needed/wanted to upgrade, how good is this option? is it a pretty good deal at both prices, or only if you can get the coupon? i havent done any research into new printers, so idk how good this model is.. thanks

okay, back with my new MX860.

a few things you should know -

1). My ejunkies 25 off 75 didn't scan as valid. so unless you're able to charm the manager into an override, don't expect the coupon to work
2). Instead, I was able to get the 2 yr protection plan added for free. It's a $15 value...but then again, I paid $4 for the e-junkie coupon...BUT what I'm thinking is, since this a clearance item, you can be sure that in 6 months, Staples won't even carry this printer anymore. Replacement would likely be an upgrade.
3). As Firewall Guy mentioned about starter cartridges, this print does indeed only come with the starter ink.

I've been intching for a new printer anyway, so I bought in even though the e-junkie coupon didn't work.
