Normally sells for around $80. I have three of these (wish I needed an excuse to buy another) and they're excellent. Kensington recently (within the past year) came out with a new model, the SlimBlade, so I wonder if they're finally clearing these out. Has a five year warranty (and in fact, when I put in a warranty claim for one of mine they actually sent me a SlimBlade as a replacement).

This brings me back to middle school and playing the CS beta with a trackball. All of my friends wanted to play but no one could figure out how to use it very well. It was an awesome experience and too bad these have sold out, I was just trying to justify it to myself.

it appears that buy.com is blocking SD referrals.

If you remove the SD referral link, then it works fine.

They're in stock again.
I already use one at home & love it.
Just ordered one for my desk at work.

As mentioned above, the SD link seems to be blocked; I got it through the link below: (again, remove the SD portion of the link)

+1 on the above...These are the best trackballs on the planet...plus they come with 5 year warrantys and excellent tech support after the sale. If I had the extra cash I would order 10 to just have for the future when the one I have now breaks (on the 3rd year and still going strong).

The older Kensington Expert Mouse trackballs were the best, the ones with steel rollers.

I've been using them for years and finally my last one broke and I got the newer expert mouse pro, uses optical tracking and it's not nearly as good. The weight of the ball and the steel rollers allowed for some great tracking.

I still have my broken one, hoping to take some time and see if I can fix it maybe. Nothing like that trackball.

I have to admit that I never spent a lot of time with the older Expert Mouse, but I've had good luck with this one (and as I mentioned it has a 5 year warranty). If you want something more stylish, check out the SlimBlade which doesn't have the cheesy-feeling scroll wheel, and is currently on sale for $44.99.

For $29.99 this was a good deal. But I'd pay $100 for the original instead of $29.99 for this one if I had the choice of the two at the same time. Nothing beats the original way, very tactile feel when you used the ball. The scroll wheel also worked much better than this current one which isn't as responsive.
