not bad.. more then i paid for my c9 (120 + tax)

their shipping looks to be 15 + 3.50 (signature charge) = 18.50 (which is reasonable although free is better)

128.50 + transfer fee.

you can probably do as good or better locally considering the transfer and shipping charges are gonna account for about 1/4 or 1/3rd the total cost of the gun.


but they're not bad, very no frills, low capacity, mine jammed like crazy the 1st 150 rounds.
the powder coating on the massive slide is very utilitarian but incredibly tough.

their carbines have poor finish on them but are crazy fun to shoot and my 995 has never malf'ed on me.
hi-point CS is absolutely top-notch.. best in the industry.

EDIT: just realized these are the ones with a hard carrying case.. they're a little more expensive then the regular "card board" box versions (which i bought, did'nt have hard case versions when i got mine)

so this is a little better deal then i 1st thought.

EDIT 2: 138.50 for the 45 model shipped, thats a pretty decent price on it.
yup deal gets better and better the more i look.

That was fast and unfortunate. I own the JHP 45 and have put about 400 rounds through it with only one FTE (Failure to Eject.) Decent three dot sights (includes an optional Ghost Ring sight) and accurate as I am at 25 yards and less.

Bought it as a "bear gun" for hiking in National Parks; you wouldn't choose it to hunt bears but 45 ACP ball ammo is supposed to have enough penetration for large mammals.

It's one butt ugly gun, however, at under $200 I won't weep if it walks out the door of the RV.

Because a seller in Kentucky may not want to bother keeping up with California's f'ed up and ever-changing roster of handguns approved for sale. Several businesses across the US simply refuse to do business with California on the chance that they may unwittingly violate one of California's many firearms laws.

But the .380 acp and 9mm Hi-Points are on the approved list. Check under "Hi Point"

Well, not though Hi Point, but those anti 2nd Amendment gun buyback programs will usually give you $100 for a handgun, so if you don't like it, just go "turn it in" for a no-risk purchase!

rofl.. i remember a couple years ago they had a buy back in california for 250 a gun.

i almost drove the 1800 miles one way with a trunk full of hi-points to take them up on that offer.. buy them for 150 sell them for 250..

I'm surprised how much heat Hi Point guns take. They aren't bad, and a lot of people call them junk before ever trying one, or because of how they look. My brother has 2, a C9 and 45 JH, they work fine. I had the new 9mm carbine style they came out with. I had a helluva time trying to sell it when I got bored of it at a gun show since every dealer kept hating on it. I had over 600 rounds through it with not one hiccup. I wish I could have said that about my other guns that cost more than twice that 9mm carbine cost me.
