Thread Details

Please be gentle this is my first post. Gain dishwashing Liquid 11 oz. is .97 at Walmart and there was a 1.00 Q in the P&G insert with no size limit. I was able to pick up 20 bottles. The associate marked each Q down to .97 .Just look for a teenager that staring off into space. HTH

Be prepared to argue for it. Last time I was told no they had to call up a manager while I waited I was on the phone with 1-800-walmart. The manager told them to let me use it. I had to wait 5 minutes and the line was getting long.

Just use minus one coupon and pay the 70 cents difference or whatever it is. Tis better to pay 70 cents and leave, than use all your Qs and spend 15 or more minutes waiting on lame Wally cashiers to get all their shizz sorted out ... isn't it?

I tried to use mine at walmart last time such a pita. I notice the register ask if its a valid q when the q is more than the item. Once the cashier saw that I had problems. I explained to her she can adjust the q to .97. She still called the mgr. Mgr. had to read the coupon b/c she said they have been getting fraudulent q's. I told her I got those out of the newspaper. She said oh the newspaper has fraudulent q's too. Facepalm

After that I went to dollar general. DG has the green gain and its a $1. I gave her the $1.00 q's pd tax and left.

I was buying gain earlier at Walmart but broke them up into seperate transactions of 4 at a time.

Don't the new P&G coupons state a limit of 4 per transaction.?

Will the store get reimbursed if we use more than 4 coupons at a time?

The new P&G Qs do say limit 4 like coupons per trip. My guess is they would be reimbursed for more, as the company would check Qs redeemed overall against overall sales, not per transaction. While the tracking for this is probably possible it would be cost prohibitive to use and interpret. However since the Q says limit 4 per transaction this is what we need to be adhering to.

I used 40 of these Qs last month when there was no limit per transaction. I broke them into ten, ten then twenty the last night it was valid. Had no issues, most of the night cashiers at my SWM had no issues adjusting ot putting them straight through. The last night I got one of the older ladies, asked the CSM for help, and then decided we needed to cross out $1 and write .97 on it. But I should to "earn" my discount. LMAO So I wrote it in, she took the cost off and I walked out with my soap. Nice for donating.

Proper "override" is either (vendor coupon then amount) or (amount then vendor coupon) but its quick and easy if you know what to do and don't argue with the customer....nod

the manufacturer & coupon clearing house that all coupons are sent to have no idea how many were used in one transaction, they get them all in bulk from the various stores, walmart probably turns over several thousand of these coupons per week.

I went to a Wal-Mart in CT. and was able to use 22 qs (from the last batch that didn't limit to four). There was a bit a problem at first, but in the end I got them all, and somehow the total came out to zero, so I paid no sales tax.

I am continually amazed at how stupid so many of the WM employees are. Do they only hire them if they pass a Stupid Test or something?

I'm not sure on Wal-Mart registers - does each Q beep or is it just the last Q that will beep? Example, if I buy like 5 of these, will only the last one beep for being over the amount? If it's just the last one, you could also do the old -- ring up six, give five coupons, and then say I forgot I only had Qs for five and have them remove one from the order.

It doesn't amaze me when I find them at WM. I find them everywhere. Dumb cashiers work at Target, my local grocer, a few WAGs, and even an occasional CVS.

Every coupon will beep. WM is like Target in this was (why couldn't they be like CVS or WAGS). At Target you get the "item not found", because it exceeds the value, well its the same at wally. $0.97 dishsoap with a $1 MQ, will cause "Valid Coupon Amount?" to popup. To which they must hit yes or no. Its a pain, but if you WM regularly you can find a cool cashier. I've got a buddy who will just count the value of the coupons, and then just manually input them as vendor coupon, X amount. Its alot faster.

If your less concerned about getting the 3 cents, take it over to dollar general, the dishsoaps are $1, and coupon goes through fine.

Thanks Lifer. That's what I had in my head was the WAGs and CVS way. I might do as you suggest and skip it and go to Dollar General. My WMs are too beitchy lately about the Qs that beep. Smilie

Plus the Nazi's are looking for trouble, ever since P&G put blood in the water with the limit 4 like coupons BS.

I ordered 200 of the $1 Gain last month, and 200 this month. Last month I was living at WM, 2 or 3 passes per store, on the days I went, since it expired so quickly (9/30). But this latest gives us 2 months, with an 11/30 expiration.
