i'd wait for a refurb for about 55~ , dont think its worth much more than that. the whole movie style sheets are cool but take lots of time ... only reason i got it was to use the remote while watching movies.
Same price over the weekend at Best Buy, but then there is the $8 or so tax. I had one just to try it out and I hate how it takes a while to boot up. Had the Live version and it boots up faster than this.
Many Asian shows and some anime is more readily available in rmvb than avi, mpeg, or mkv, and this player has played those all relatively well! Some mkv files have problems playing, but it has never faltered on any Real Media file that I've ever played on it.
I have the original one but bought this for my bedroom TV. Love it. Only problem is with transferring files over the network to it, anybody else having a problem with extremely slow file transfer speeds. I keep having to just unplug the external HD to transfer files because over the network they are going ~20kbps
Which is why we are seeing a dop on the LivePlus ......From what I have read over at avsforum the main differences are the 1\2 TB hard drive, media server capabilities, Gbe ports, and HDMI 1.4. If you are all wireless there may not be that much difference (especially if you are OK with a separate HD)
