Deal Details

Similar to another post however this is hotter because its $30 less.

Note: This is not a repost because it is for a better price.

Amazon has the best price on the Epic - that we know but they do not do upgrades. Sp $149 for new customers is not hot but for upgrades it is the best deal that I know of.

According to other SD post Wirefly now has it for $199 Upgrade Price however if you use the Friends and Family Link it is showing $169 . Best price on upgrade afaik up til now is Radio Shack which adds tax on $229.

Click link then on the left click upgrades under Sprint and then Epic... I may pull the trigger.

Epic is $149 for new accounts. $179 without link.
Epic is $169 for eligible upgrades, $199 without.

http://www.wireflyfriends.com/

Evo $119 for upgrades or new accounts with link.

Please rep as this is my first 5 thumbs up deal Smilie

Note: One downside is that afaik cashback sites and coupon codes do not work with friends and family link. So if you think your coupon code has a value of $30 or more this may not be worth it to you.

UPDATE AS OF CYBERMONDAY - PRICE IS NOW $149

Yes, WireflyTerry answered questions about this on the EVO thread. It's Sprint policy. They'll do this if you buy direct from Sprint, but will revoke Wirefly's commission if you do it through Wirefly.
This policy makes no sense to me. I took the risk anyways and called Sprint to activate my EVO on my add-on line before I actually powered on the phone. So technically, I never deactivated the ESN as per their terms. If I do get charged for ETF, you can be sure I'll be filling a chargeback.

If you are eligible for a new phone on your sprint account, the price will be $229+tax and you will get a $100 GC. $169 is for new sprint customers. Both require a 2 year contract.

Front page hot IMO!

I don't see why it would mess up your current discounts.

When I got my EVO back in June from Radio Shack, my corp discount remained.

Looks like someone already posted the $100 GC deal, but they did not mention the EVO or the epic:

FYI, you don't post to the front page, you post is selected if its a great deal.

Hmmm, when I logged onto Walmart, the Epic price comes up as $229.99 for renewal (or for $169.99 for new users) The one thing that concerns me is I don't see the GC mentioned in the checkout, even though the phone is specific mentioned in the list of valid phones. I guess just make a screen capture of the link and the following document just in case.

http://i.walmart.com/i/rb/SMARTPHONELIST.pdf

Personal question, what are SERO users doing? Wife and I are both on SERO and I upgraded her phone back in August. Mine is eligible now.

I had the same concern then I read the fine print. Starts the 17th. Call or complete your order in the morning.

The price on the EVO went back up to $149.99 for upgrades/renewal. I was just about to buy when I noticed that. It's still $119.99 for new accounts. I'm going to wait this one out to see if it goes back down.

For those of you trying to take advantage of the Wal-mart GC deal as a renewal option, tread VERY carefully:
Qualifying Transaction Types (from disclaimer):
• New activations on an individual plan or Family Plan = qualifies for (1) $100 gift card per activation.
• Upgrade an existing plan or plans = qualifies for (1) $100 gift card per activation.
• Add-a-line to an existing account and/or family plan = qualifies for (1) $100 Gift Card per activation

I don't see simple extension in there, unless you interpret "upgrading plan" as an extension (From my experience in Sprint this refers to buying a more expensive plan). The site specifically refers to a new plan or "qualified upgrade." (see above) For further evidence note that the $100 GC icon does not appear under any of the phones if you attempt to select a phone under the upgrade phone tab with the "two-year extension" option selected from the drop-down box...

I'm a family plan with my mom who is up for an upgrade and I am not but I want the EPIC. Has anyone ever tried to upgrade a phone then trade it with another person on their family plan?

I snoozed also. I went to sprint store to find out about when we would get 4G in my area (next mo.). Got back home and $120 turned into $150.

I don't think it will work because of the $10 4g fee would be on your moms line.
