Hmm, the local grocery store in NJ (stop n shop) had these at 4 boxes of 17oz boxes for $8, and receive a free gallon of milk (must purchase milk in next 2 weeks). Looks like grocery stores might have better deals, so I suggest looking around before jumping on this.

I stocked up because I also had coupons to stack.

Thanks for reminding me. I hate how difficult it is to find cereals that don't have all these added chemicals. It is 2010. If I need a vitamin supplement, one can be purchased cheaply. I don't want the cereal manufacturers guessing for me. Ranting /end rant

Since when is too much iron a bad thing? I guess as a vegetarian, I'm always looking for extra iron.

In short, IMO, it is rare that any male above the age of 18 in the USA needs Iron supplementation. It's actually more harmful then is widely known. One word... Hemochromatosis.

Thanks. I just googled that. Doesn't sound like fun. I was selling some One A Day men's vitamins at a yeard sale recently and a guy said he couldn't use it bc it had iron in it. I thought it was odd but I guess not!

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure that eating a diet high in Iron is really only a problem for someone who has Hemochromatosis. Otherwise, your body will just flush it. No?

No... it is difficult for men to "flush" excess iron form their system. Women do not "normally" have this problem as they menstruate. Think of Hemochromatosis as a result of too much iron, not a disease that causes the iron overload.
