I believe USCPsycho stated that soy was a slow releasing protein whereas whey is a fast releasing protein. I don't think soy is ideal for quick recovery because of that but I'm not sure it will hurt anything.

I actually have purchased this [amazon.com] genisoy protein a couple of times. It is on sale as well. This is a more pure soy powder while the other is a shake mix. With this one you get 25g of protein vs 14g of protein. With the other one however you get flavoring and probably other nutrients that the soy powder does not have (since it's a mix).
