update this somebody!
sorry for the exclamation mark, i guess it wasn't that necessary. if the people who have seen it can tell the area they are located in and the details, i'd appreciate it. or, if anyone in the sacramento area are at the 24 hours there, can they check to see if the deal is there also? i'll be moving there in a couple of days, so i wanted to know what was out there. you can PM me if that's easier. thanks. |

They have this deal at 24 hour fitness in Houston...but here, this is supposed to be a deal only if you are a FAMILY member - they have it posted in the gym on a big posterboard when you first walk in...I guess you could lie and say you were a cousin, I don't know...
I actually asked them about this, and they say that this is supposed to be used as a membership, like, when your mom comes to visit for a month in the summer, she can go for $15. I am not at all sure what kind of contract this signs you up for (i.e. month to month or yearly), so that is a consideration. Also, they clearly told me that the family member can only exercise when the member is also working out. Also, since it is meant to help members who have out of town family visiting, I'm thinking they want to verify you are a family member...anyway, go for it and see if it works...I kinda think not after I had a conversation with them, but who knows, maybe another fitness club has more lax rules.... |

k just found out this isnt much of a deal... since the $15/month will be added to the existing member's account and you must go with the existing member whenever you want to go. I guess if you have a workout buddy that would be cool but if you dont, it wouldnt be.

I am paying 28 bucks as a single club membership. I am thinking of cancelling and moving on my friend's account who only pays 15 per month. These 24 hr. people have all kinds of different rates charged for same kind of memberships. One of my other friend pays 19 bucks. Good thing this time may be is, no enrollment fee of 79. Thanks, |
