Actually, the survey on the receipt only shows up on one out of many receipts from Panda Express. It ends up pretty random how often you get a receipt that has a survey on it so I wouldn't hold out for it.

Just so you know, I eat Panda Express really often as in at least once every two weeks. I've only seen the survey twice and I check almost every time.

Perception of 'often' is really up for interpretation.
I eat Geno's often. (4-6x a week)
I eat Wendy's often. (3x a week)
I eat McDonald's sometimes. (1-2x a week)
I eat Keen Wah rarely. (Once every 1-2 weeks)

I worked in a Panda Express in Chicago before. I still remember they let you eat all you wanted. I was eating 5 meals everyday when I was working there. There orange chicken was really good. But sadly the company is so cheap. They don't give out promotions to customers and very low wages, They always pay at minimum wage

I used to eat like that when I was younger(17). I ran track and didn't have an ounce of excess fat on me. I then had my cholesterol checked. 225. Watch yourself.

I have decided never to eat at Panda Express due to repeated bad experiences:

Their mode of operation is so slow:: first person takes an order, sets up the plates, another person then checks the boxes and puts in the remaining part of the order, often the customers have to remind what they ordered. Then finally the cashier goes through your order once again before you pay.

They are so stingy that they don't even put cutlery and paper napkins outside for everyone to take as they need. They will hand these out, often one fork for two orders!! Last time I was there every customer out there was shaking their head in disapproval at how things were going..

I worked at a mall where they had a Panda King, I once got into with the cashier who didnt believe what I ordered, he had to open my To Go Box to visually check my order. I told him he could confirm it with the person who put the box together and I told him what you dont believe your customers or your employees. He told me he was gonna call mall security on me and then he showed up at my place of Employment to complain he said, I hurt his feelings. What a pathetic place to work.

True. They really skim at the forks/spoons and napkins. I always have to ask for extra forks and napkins.

at our restaurant (not panda), we make sure that include a fork/knife/spoon set and enough napkins for the person.
I see it as this: if my customer is going to come back and ask for more napkins/forks, that will slow down my line serving other customers, it slows me/my employees down, inconvience caused to other customers waiting in line and inconvience caused to the customer asking extra napkins b/c he did not get enough the first time.

Sure, extra napkins and extra fork/spoon/knife set will cost me $$$ at the end of the month but I have to weigh that with the inconvience caused to others.

With the amount of volume that Panda does, I dont know what they skim on napkins/forks etc.

Oh..trick to get more food at Panda:
Order your food TO GO and at the register, ask for a plate. The TO GO food boxes always have more food than the trays that they use when you say EAT IN. (learnt this the hard way )

I want free Panda food!

I really like Panda Express a lot, they are getting very pupular these days, but I think their food is too expensive! Come on, almost $7 for a 2 item combo? that's outrageous! Speaking of expensive food, Quizno's Sub is the worst, why can I get a meatball sub combo for about $4.50 while Quizno's charges $7+ for the same meal?

Costco sells orange chicken that is very similar to the one at Panda. Just add a bit of thai sweet chili sauce and you will not be able to tell the difference. It is awesome with jasmine rice and costs roughly a third of what Panda charges.

Same goes for Burger King, except I think they actually give you a free Whopper with fries/drink purchase. Also, I always BS the survey code and its never failed..
