Ive had my citicard with the 5% on gas back but that ended in oct. Now its only 2%. I have been wanting a amex, and now i want a cash back one bc it really helps with gas. Im 21, in college, credit score of 700, currently no income (full time student). I also already have 3 cc. I dont use one at all, and the other two i use. I owe about a 1k on them, which im paying off
Anyone know which AMEX i can apply for and should get that has a cash back? I dont want to hurt my Credit score and I dont want any more than 4 CCs. 3 is already too much. I dont know how to cancell my 1st financialbank one without hurting my score

If you really want an AMEX, the Blue Cash would be a good choice for cash back. It's good for gas, but there are other cards out that there that offer better % back on overall purchases. As for closing a current account, as long as you have paid it off in full and there isn't a current balance, then it really shouldn't hurt your credit score if you close it. (If anything, it might take a small hit in the short-term, but nothing long-term).
