Good printer better than minolta 1350 W

This convoluted fine print gives them quite a bit of wiggle room on whether website purchases qualify.

He's got it after pricematching, which is not absolutely correct as the OfficeMax shouldn't have pricematched the printer (with a rebate) with Staples (which had the same price as OfficeMax AFTER rebate). Thus, if you can fool a sales associate, you can get both low price and rebate. Doesn't always work!

although both are not very good in today's standard, but i would not complain much just because they are less than 100usd. if i have to choose between two, i will get brother 1440 instead of minolta qms 1350. 1440 has a real tray paper feed system which is far better than 1350 & less noisey (not the old 1440 but the newer 1440); graphics are better with 1440 although 1350 has higher max resolution. 1440 memory is upgradable with one simm upto 32mb simm can be used...edo is supported; you can get it for about 15usd @ ebay; toner is less expenisve..6000 page rated one is about 60usd (non brother refill kit is about 15usd @ ebay) compare to 3000 page rated 1350 is about 80usd & 1350 comes with 1500page toner but 1440 comes with 3000 rated toner

downsides of 1440 are slower speed (1350 is considerably faster at least with ok system) & really slow @ highest resolution; standard memory of 1350 is 8mb but fixed; btw, 1350 management software is simply sucky but no management software is available with 1440

it seems like 1440 can be used with linux

i would get a samsung but samsung has little bit of driver problems on non windows system & toner is bit expensive but toner & drums are changed at same time, so printing quality would not degraded

if anyone is interested, i will sell my new factory sealed 1350 for 60usd & insured & shipped through ebay. let me know (upcs are removed)

No it doesn't. In-store is for Hawaii and Alaska only. This is common with OD rebates. Worry not.

I have had 100% of my OD rebates fulfilled, they're not one of the slimy ones that looks to "wiggle".

This is a terrific printer, and has been for several years.

I used to buy these for our company in bulk because they're very easy on the pocketbook and the toner drum. This printer is also very well built and fast.

The animated tutorials which are built in to the drivers (and easily turned off, if need be) are a life saver if you're in IT. Basically, instead of calling me in every time a paper jam occurred, the animated tutorial shows how to remedy most situations.

If I had the ducats right now I'd do it!

The printer is fast but the drum assembly will need to be replaced within about three months. The replacement drums seem to be much better. What happens is that the printouts cover the entire sheet with a thin, gray layer of toner and the rubber roller deposits thin, horizontal lines over each printout every four or five inches or so. This is not a slick deal.

I don't know if the rebate will still print out at the store at time of purchase, but the rebate form on the OM website states it's good from 9/18-9/25. This is what gets me. This rebate is sent to OM, but the rebate you get at the store is sent to Minolta. Go Figure! This didn't work for me . I think females are harder to come by (manager). They absolutely would not give me the deal.
