Member sinceFeb 2006 Posts773 LocationNoVa Reputation 85	yeah...gen 1 nanos had less battery and were easier to scratch..beyond that, I don't think anything. edit BTW, if you're going to get one I'd spend the extra money and get the applecare warranty. These will die on you several times.

I have a question along those same lines.
If there were two Nano's in front of you, just by looking at them, could you tell the difference? As in this one is 2nd gen and this one is 1st gen.

I see that that the older 2GB Nano is $99 while the 2nd is $119.
Which one is a better buy between the two?
