Cell Phone Deal - Cingular - Already Have Plan and Do Not want to upgrade
Hello, I need to get a replacement phone for my cingular account and I'm trying to find a good deal that will not require me upgrading my current plan. I don't care if it's a refurb (just as long as it is a good phone) and I'm looking to spend under $100 if possible.Anyone know of any deals? |

$30 shipped, Nokia 6030 refurb. There are some other phones which are around $20, but you can't beat Nokia's reception/overall quality. |

im going to call on this one tomorrow. i always thought for cingular you needed a quad band phone and this one is only dual band but it is for sale on cingular's website...

I have purchased used ones on Craigslist and also bought brand new pay as you go phones in Radioshack etc and just put in my sim card.

ya just go craigslist or ebay. I'd stay away from the Nokia 6030. I was a loyal Nokia customer until recently, when I was shopping for a new fone and couldn't find a single quality fone they make. Very very sad to see this once-excellent company head south. If you listen to their conference calls, it's clear that they're trying to please wall street by slashing quality in a bid to improve profit margins.

Yes, some of the newer Nokia's are cheaply made (like my squeeky, plasticy 6111), but the 6030 is a solid performer in terms of reception. It's a cheap, basic phone in terms of features but I've heard some very good things about it's solid reception capabilities and battery life. For $30, you really can't go wrong. As for LG, please re-consider...not very good reviews for it out there. If you need model specific reviews/opinions, check out www.howardforums.com . They are cell phone crazy over there
