the prices for the ipod shuffle refurbished went down again, its now
$39 for 1gb 1st gen and
$49 for 1gb 2nd gen.

maybe the apple shuffe is what you said...but the nanos are good...bought 2 last month for gifts and they're working fine

The current gen is a clip-on style and smaller, and the older is more pack-of-game shaped. Either one works fine, so it's really up to which you'd like better.

I luv my Shuffle! Use it more than my other, bigger players. If your going out on a bike ride or working out you really don't need 10,000 songs! I spend as much time scroll thru songs as I do listening to songs on my bigger gb player. 250 of my favorite songs is fine. I have iTunes autofill my shuffle with my favs, takes like 5 minutes and I'm off, plus the thing is tiny, or the new one is even tiny'er. The battery in them are made of kryponite or sumthin, mine never runs out
