Going to advise against this RAM again. Check out the Newegg reviews first. It's very fickle and prone to dying within 6 months to a year. Mine repeatedly did fun things to my system like corrupting the BIOS, spontaneously dumping the system, and refusing to POSTif the CPU was overclocked past 240MHz (even with the RAM under-clocked). I had two different sets and both caused problems.

I know this was posted before, but the rebate expired. Now there's a new one good through Aug. 2nd.

I'd love to get two sets and an i-RAM drive! Trouble is it would only be 4GB which isn't enough for a full install of XP IIRC...

I've had this stuff in my PC for over a year and its still working fine. The bad reviews could be due to a bad batch. Actually I just have 1gb so I might pick up another kit to upgrade to 2gb.

Ordered 2 sets ( 2 different accounts) for a total of 4 sticks for 2 gigs. Should work nicely with the FX-55 bumped up to FX-57 (FX = unlocked multiplier ) with an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe ($47.00 SD). Only downside is having to run them at 2T.
Grabbed the $5.00 bonus review x 2 (2 accounts) at pricegrabber bringing the total down to $64.98 for 2gig.
As far as the bad reviews, Crucial is a very good company and I wouldn't suspect any problems with CS if needed.

You'll have to run at DDR333 and 2T. There's only one DFI board out there that can do DDR400 with 4 DIMM's that I know of. Sadly, I had this same great idea and it didn't work out so well. Ebayed all four sticks a week later and moved on. I suggest not making my mistake, too!
