I'm stoopid but I read that bioforce, the new pc game needs the 8600
and so I am intimidated by this being an 8500 and also I am disgruntled by the fact that
it has a vga output because I need two outputs but they should both be dvi.
I am sorry if I sound like a troll but it's really early and my girlfriend was just mad at me.

these are well worth it if you are building a HTPC that will play 1080P material well since it offloads most of the work from the CPU to the graphics card.
Its okay for light gaming but preferably if you want a HTPC card that can do somewhat decent gaming get a 8600GTS otherwise this is perfect for a budget HTPC build. |

I think the 8600GT should be able to handle games, and the 8600GTS should be almost on par with the 7900GS. All these are good budget boards. If you want something worth keeping though, you're gonna have to shell out the big bucks for the 8800 series. Consider getting this or the 8600GT for tying you over until the directx10 boards become more mainstream and drop in prices
