My studio recently became infested with ants a couple days ago because I accidentally left a soda can out . I cleaned it up, came back that night to see more ants. Fine, I kill them, vacuum the entire place, wipe down all the surfaces that I could reach, etc. Now ants have decided to take over my entire apartment. There are tons of htem and I can't even figure out where they're headed (attempted ot follow their path and gave up because it was too random). I took my coworker's advice and got some Grant's Ant stakes but the ants just go around them instead of taking the bait.

Need advice badly. I live in a small studio and so the ants are crawling dangerously close to my bed. Been vacuuming and cleaning like crazy too but they just seem to come back the next day.

A long time ago I used a product called Terro that actually worked very well.
It can be difficult to find but it is worth it.

I have had good luck with cinnamon sticks placed at their point of entry.

But I just googled it and found that its illegal and potentially dangerous

Well I've been using it for years, and neither myself nor the rest of my family have experienced any side effects. It does work well on ants though. Draw a circle around a few and you'll notice it's like they've been drugged. They'll have trouble walking and stuff, then they die a few minutes later. If they're crawling up a wall, I like drawing lines and watching them fall lol

Well anyways, I'm not advising you to use it, 'cuz of the supposed health risks. There's Raid and other sprays, but I hate the smell

Terro will solve your problem. It's available at most stores (ie Target, Walmart, Walgreens)

My mom always lined the doors with vinegar.... if you have tile floors.

It is a fine powder that cleans up when the problem is over..

cayenne pepper at points of entry will also work.
