And other lawyers are just like my brother....
Working for a temp agency, doing doc review all day long (menial secretarial work), surfing slickdeals and FW all day from his cush downtown highrise office building, while at the same time making $150,000.00 a year while living 5 steps from the beach in a million dollar house. Sheesh...peeps are too quick to pigeon-hole attorneys as parasitic detriments to our society. While I characterize 99.9% of all family/divorce and personal injury attorneys as parasites, I most certainly support the notion that attorneys are not all filthy rich. Hey, I'm poor as balls.

Well your brother is one lucky man if he actually has a job that pays that well for "secretarial work". Most lawyers who make that kind of money - and they are in the minority - work long, long hours & their free time is a rare commodity.
Most lawyers graduate from law school with substantial debt, and, unfortunately, most public interest jobs pay too little to accomodate the burden of paying off student loans. If you want to be rich, be a doctor.
