No actually it's not. These use half-sized batteries.
A regular sized UPS typically use an RBC2 battery which is $8-12 shipped off ebay
and has far more capacity (minutes)

I take that back, I was thinking of the next smaller model of this.
Google shows this model does actually use a RBC2 battery
so it's definitely worth at least the $14+ship

I can never find APC replacements for under $20 shipped for any of my models. You got me wondering though so I went to APC to get the model number of the battery it takes...heres is what the site said.

Guess they don't figure you are going to need a replacement yet on this model????

Most of the class around it use the RBC2 model so likely it will be its replacement. I just get a kick out of APC posting that info. That better be just a page holder.

YEAH! even better. Couldn't remember the number or read my handwriting. That was one of the few things I was gonna wake up to get. Ghod the $30 deals of OM & CC of the past few days on SD's were decent on an average day but this is SUPER!

Yeah, I just finished ordering. It checks local availability (asked for my zip & says it is checking) maybe your area is OOS? The rebate seems to be good no matter in store or online/phone. Original UPC needed for O/P orders seems like the only difference, SWEET, can't stand it when they play fine print games or exclude online etcetera.
