I went to two CCs today and I got 1 at the one in Dearborn, MI but the one in Taylor wouldn't sell them to me. They said they weren't allowed to sell them until tomorrow. I know they have 7 in stock but I can't get there tomorrow. I'm not sure why one CC would sell it to me and the other wouldn't. I figure it's in their ad tomorrow and the one in Dearborn just didn't know any better.

they have to guarantee units for the ad. Usually they get extra shipments on saturday, but you probably went after any scheduled shipments so they need to have atleast 7 in store to honor the ad.

the other one probably just had more.

to empathize tho, I don't think that to the store it shouldn't really matter. you could tell any customer that asks that they're sold out, and a normal person would be like "duh, it's a hot ticket item for x-mas" and be on their way...
... now a jackass would've had a fit...
