Thread Details

If you are looking for a turkey fryer to deep fry your holiday turkey, check your local Lowes for this one http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?ac...lpage=none
I spent a long time searching on internet sites and in local stores for the best deal on one of these. Lowe's web site shows that my local store doesn't sell this product any longer. When I was in the store looking for something else, I wandered down the aisle where these would be and lo and behold, there it was sitting on the shelf but on clearance for $29.99.

Most may not consider this a hot deal but it's a nice basic set and certainly the best price I found after a long search on the internet and in local stores. It's also only the second deal I've tried to post so be gentle please laugh out loud

If you're looking for one, it might be worth stopping in the store and checking. The website says it's not sold in my local store either but I found it when I was in the store.

The pot could be yes but for boiling seafood, typically you'd have a basket (something that fits inside the pot that has holes in it and has a handle) inside the pot. When the seafood is done boiling, you'd pull the basket out of the pot and all the water drains out since there are holes in the basket. This one comes with the stuff needed to fry a turkey, not the basket you'd want to have to boil seafood. You could still use it to boil seafood but you'd have to come up with a way to get the crawfish out of the boiliing water. For seafood, once it's done boiling, you want to pull it out immediately so it stops cooking. If you left it in the water until the water was cool enough to get the seafood out, it would continue cooking and be overcooked.
