Uh...you don't trust the IEEE? That's like saying you don't trust the AMA. This is legit.

IEEE is extremely legit. Long existing organization with about 350K members across the world. This is a good deal, but that aside if you're in an electronics or electrical field there are lots of other benefits to membership.

how do you download the software?

I signed up for this about a week ago and can't figure out how you download the software. Before I email the computer society, did anyone here figure it out?

I think you need to get their download manager.

Ok, a note, you can only download (as far as I am aware) if you registered as a student. You guys should get an email from IEEE with a link and a user name and password.
