Toddler dies in Inflatable Jump house

Why would you let your toddler jump with adults in one of these without being right there as well? The one we have doesn't allow adults in at the same time as kids, and even has older kids go at different times then the younger ones.
How sad!!!!
(and before it is brought up, yes I make my kids take off their shoes at these!

)

It's an indoor place with 10 different jumphouses/inflatable obstable courses. Nothing is really supervised and parents just lets the kids run off on their own inside. They have no restictions on the amount of people on it at once. I swear 1/2 the kids get hurt slamming into each other.

oh wow...see ours has at least 2 people at each station(we've been there for 2 birthday parties..i'm not sure about free jump time) and only 4 inflatables.

I have to agree...she just seems a bit...off? I know everyone grieves differently, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear if there is more to the story.

The one here has 2-3 people running the whole place but like most jobs staffed by all teenagers, it's more of a social place than workplace. There is no supervision, but then it should be the parents anyways, that place wears me out though trying to keep up on the obstacle courses.

We've had these at birthday parties we've been to and on occasion there are adults in there with the kids. But they are responsible adults and would never do tricks or anything that might hurt the kids. They're in there to supervise more than anything. We go to the indoor bounce places all the time - I am right there with my kids at all times. (No shoes, ALWAYS socks)

If the adults jumped on her kid, then obviously she wasn't paying attention and telling them to watch themselves around him. Sounds like a case of bad parenting to me. She can file charges all she wants, but she signed the waiver and she didn't watch her kid too closely.

I can't argue with your statement, because that's how she came off to me too. But keep in mind, different people react different ways in stressful situations. Her son died, so she's probably a different person from minute to minute. She may have just been going through an angry spell during the interview.

I would go insane if one of my kids died and I knew that I could have prevented it by being a better parent.
