Frys has Polk Audio RTi10 high performance loudspeakers (Cherry finish) [Amazon user reviews, mfg review page] for $200. Shipping starts at $15 (Ohio) and depends on your zip code. If ordering more than one, place multiple orders to save on shipping. Lowest on Pricegrabber is $380, and J&R has them for $250 + $95 S/H. Thanks 00dahc
They also have the RTi8 version [Amazon user reviews, mfg review page] available in Black or Cherry for $150 + SH (starts at $13). Lowest on PriceGrabber is $239 [Discuss] |

I got my RTi8s (150 each from outpost) yesterday and they sound freaking amazing!
Polks are a ton of bang for your buck! This is a great deal on the RTi10s! They are serious speakers! |

A basic recommendation for ordering any speakers from Fry's is to make a separate order for each speaker. For me the shipping on one speaker would be $17, but for two speakers it jumps up to $107! I would save $73 in shipping by making two separate orders of one speaker each. BTW, my brother ordered these yesterday, they shipped today, and they're supposed to arrive tomorrow. Talk about fast shipping! |

Stepping up to the RTi10 or RTi12, I highly recommend you add a separate two channel amplifier to your existing receiver to get the most out of these speakers (unless of course you have a flagship receiver). 89dB is not very efficient as far as tower speakers go. You won't realize what these speakers can do running your basic $500 surround sound receiver. The RTi8's would be fine with a modest mid-level surround receiver. Just don't skimp on power when driving RTi series speakers. You get what you pay for in audio, and with class A/B amps, the heavier the better. And I'm sure I don't have to tell you - 100 watts is not 100 watts. Ask and I can explain. Rti10 specs: Lower -3dB Limit 35Hz Nominal Impedance 8 ohms Recommended Amplifier Power 20-300 w/channel Efficiency 89 dB Inputs Dual (bi-amp) gold plated 5-way binding posts Total Shipping Weight 66.00 lbs. Rti8 specs: Lower -3dB Limit 40Hz Nominal Impedance 8 ohms Recommended Amplifier Power 20-250 w/channel Efficiency 90 dB Inputs Dual (bi-amp) gold plated 5-way binding posts Total Shipping Weight 55.00 lbs. |

Great Find... my only question is what is RMS / Peak power on these suckers.???
I can only assume its alot.. then you need a huge @ss amp to power these.. per the owners manual of these:

They were selling the rti12s for $350 each at my local frys..I returned em too big...and needed too much power to make em sound good. I'm going with Aperions instead.
