I think you are thinking too much about hot deal and didn't thinking it through people actually need to buy stuff that is not onsale. Any thing that help their PR would help.

As of price mistakes. So you think it is ok to have Price Mistake as long as their policy stated that they have the right to cancel? And it is ok for them to take price mistake lightly? And it is ok to send out email that lie and said the customer is the one cancel it?

They SHOULD NOT take price mistake lightly and SHOULD NOT take customer services lightly. Otherwise, the consequence should have PR nightmare. Again, no one said they can never have price mistake but it should be very rare and take it very serious.

As for price.... First, for a parent buying their first game console (may be because of interesting Wii control), how do they know $20 is not reasonable price for new release????
If you check store, there are probably few titles selling at $20 so why not new release? I bet some new games (probably not as popular as some of the game listed here) sold at $20-$30 at new release.

And if you check this deal, they HAVE more than 10-15 items that have good price and they have different price and different console game, just based on the fact that there are so many items for different consoles at different price, it increase the chance not price mistake since price mistake usually only one or two items (and on one console from one game developer).

Plus this is pre-order and this is Walmart (that can push supplier to get cheaper price). Making this more likely valid deal.

Pretty much not all people buying game console are expert in games price.

Very nice - What I was getting at as well. Most people call this bait and switch, intentional or not.

I can't believe that Wal-Mart won't let you cancel your order before it ships.

Being able to cancel my order before it ships is something I expect as a default option from any online retailer. The fact that Wal-Mart won't let you do something that most other companies will let you do seems really shady, especially when they can cancel your order even though you can't.

If I'm the one giving them money how come they get all the power?

Darquis, I ordered multiple games. Not an exorbitant amount, mind you, but enough that 10% wasn't a worthwhile trade-off.
