Quote : Coupon FAQsPlease read before asking coupon-related questions. See the CVS FAQ Thread for general CVS information Coupon Acceptance - It varies from store to store. Some stores have been instructed to "take all the coupons a customer has" How do I share a coupon/make a .pdf? Edit: No longer a viable option. Can't fit your attachment into the Wiki? Edit: No longer a viable option. Can I use this coupon more than once? Yes, at this time there is no limit to the number of times you can use these coupons per card. However, you cannot use the same coupon code more than once per transaction. Does CVS track the use of these coupons? It’s possible but many of us having been using them for awhile with no problems. As of January, 2008, we have begun to hear reports from some CVSers that they are being told at various stores that these coupons are now being tracked via bar code usage. Not all users have confirmed this yet, but you should keep this in mind while using printables - we encourage you to be careful and avoid abuse! Will I be allowed to use multiple coupons per transaction? There should be no limit to the number of ECBs you can use. Do the expired coupons work? Expired email $/$$ coupons frequently work past their expiration dates (this is not true of ECBs and CRTs, which will beep). Evidence has shown that most CVS coupons are accepted by the cash registers for 2 weeks or so after they "expire". This thread will be updated whenever a code stops working so check it if you're wondering whether a particular coupon will still work. People will post experiences when they use the expired coupons. However, this is YMMV because not all cashiers will attempt to enter an expired code. Are there any new coupons? Rest assured, if any one here has received a new coupon it will be posted. There is no need to ask. Check the Wiki regularly, there are many people who help keep it up to date. I got a CRT that says to use it at CVS.com but it has a bar code, can I use it in the store? YMMV. These usually scan fine but not all cashiers will be willing to try it. It has been reported that the 15/75 one does not beep for manager approval even in areas where the email 15/75 does beep for approval. There are more Welcome coupons that aren't listed here, why aren't they posted & what about code 4-3773? Not all of the codes for "welcome coupons" that you will stumble upon are currently valid. (click here to read why) Somewhat recently CVS began switching the codes on the welcome coupons so although it is possible to find additional welcome coupons, many of them may not work. A good rule of thumb is to not use any welcome coupons whose expiration dates are more than a month away. |

Quote : CVS Coupon Class***Please Note - this class was NOT taught by a CVS employee. The information/class was sponsored by CVS, but it IS NOT official CVS policy.*** ***Do NOT print this stuff out and take it to your local store to argue with the manager when they do something differently.*** Slickdeals member c_q attended a "CVS Coupon Class" recently. She has taken the time/effort to scan the handout and she also added some additional notes to it. Below are the four *.pdf files for reference. Remember to rep her (click the "coupon class" link above) if you find the info useful... CVS Coupon Class Notes Page 1 CVS Coupon Class Notes Page 2 CVS Coupon Class Notes Pages 4 and 5 CVS Coupon Class Notes Pages 6, 7, and 8 It is a pretty thorough document, which covers details on some of the different scenarios that you will encounter at CVS when trying to use coupons and/or ECB's, but if you still have questions, please post them here on this thread. |

How NOT to use Printable CVS coupons at your CVS store.
Do NOT print out a copy of every single printable coupon (that hasn't even been released!), take your order for $85 to the counter, spread EVERY coupon out on the counter and ask the cashier to accept them. Do not be surprised when the cashier calls a supervisor/manager to the front after scanning 3 of the coupons and the register beeps. (They should have called immediately when they saw all the coupons) Do not be surprised when the manager looks at the spread of coupons on the counter (at least 12 of them) and asks you "Soooo, which website did you get these from?" (That part was funny) Do NOT try to play dumb when the manager obviously knows what they are talking about! Do NOT be surprised when the manager says "I'm on all the message boards - you probably know who I am" Do NOT be surprised when the manager explains to you that 1) the store you are in does NOT allow stacking (do NOT be surprised that the manager knows the word 'stacking') Do NOT be surprised when the manager explains to you that in order to use a $15/$75 and a $10/$50 in this store, you need to spend $125. Do NOT respond "but they have different codes" Now, a few DO's. DO be grateful that I was the one that answered the manager call yesterday. Had anyone else responded, you'd have gotten a LOT of questions about how and where you got all those coupons. When they're spread out on the counter like that it's just asking for questions, hassle, and Loss Prevention to get involved. DO be grateful I told you exactly what coupons you could use, including that it's fine to use the $/$ CVS brands with the regular $/$. Be glad I told you the other store in our town won't allow stacking either. I saved you some time, and a lot of hassle. Be glad I had no problem voiding out the whole order, and opening the drawer to give you back the coupons we'd already taken. And, finally, THANK YOU for this experience - it reminded me that I really need to do another training for the other employees on how to handles CVS coupons. P.S. I noticed you weren't using any manufacturer coupons... so a note to those of you that think you can get free stuff at CVS. You can - but NOT just by using these $/$ coupons. You get free stuff at CVS by combining these with manufacturer coupons, ECB offers, sales, etc. Edited to add What could have happened - Because of your flagrant attempt to use excessive coupons, the Store Manager - if he had been told - could have instituted a new policy on printable coupons - we could have emailed our DM or our Loss Prevention Manager - who could have emailed every other store in our district, warning about the customer trying to use excessive coupons - and the DM or LP could have given us - AND OUR ENTIRE DISTRICT - a "new rule" for accepting coupons. But you got me yesterday. So none of that happened. DO NOT PUSH YOUR LUCK USING THESE COUPONS! |
