Folks, RAM does not necessarily make your computer faster. For example: If you are going from 2GB to 4GB of PC5300 ram, there will be no speed increase EXCEPT for applications that used to take up all 2GB of your ram. If you are somehow upgrading from 2GB of slower ram (PC<5300) to 4GB of PC5300 you may notice a speed increase.

In short: Ram does not necessarily increase the speed of your computer. You can just run more programs for longer without restarting or closing programs.

i believe the ocz ones are better than these but if you dont care about the speed then these are better. THe ocz ones are pc2-5400 while these are pc2-5300

Not necessarily. It depends on the memory timings. Most pc2-5400 and pc2-5300 are actually the same just the 5400 is running on higher bus with memory timings set to lower then they are on the 5300. Also most laptops are set for one memory speed and it isn't adjustable. I bought pc2-5400 for my Dell Inspiron e1705 but it still ran as 5300 because the Dell bios controls the speed and it won''t allow modification by end users.
