This brand of CFL bulbs have HORRIBLE reviews, Even a possible FIRE Hazard!!!!!!
Many state that that burn out in side of 3 months. Some even report that they spark, smolder and even catch file when they fail.
Buyer beware... I would not recommend these bulbs..

Are CFL bulbs safe or not? (In general, obviously these bulbs are not safe)

In short, Yes. They contain mercury, but it's a small amount. If you break one, you should be careful cleaning it up (the same level of safety you would use cleaning up a broken thermometer). Environmentally the amount of mercury released by a coal fired powerplant (which is where most of us get our power) powering a standard bulb is more the the amount stored in the CFL and released to power the CFL combined.

When they die, recycle them (many stores take them), and little of the contained mercury will go back into the environment.
