My brother has one of these and man, its awesome. He just mounted all his components into the laundry room behind his home theater setup and uses it like a regular remote. The RF capabilities allow you to change channels and turn everything on and off without being in the same room as the components (great for projector setups). I'm going to have to fight the urge as I'm currently building a computer, but nice post. I'd recommend this to anybody that could use it. The buttons can sometimes be overly sensitive (sometimes you go two stations instead of one) but that is about the only criticism I can think of.

I have this remote and it's AMAZING. I paid $297 for it about a month and a half ago so this is a very slick deal. The buttons themselves need to be tweaked so that they don't jump too fast, especially with the PS3 and Xbox 360, but it's pretty easy to do and its all done on your PC!

Thanks for the rebate. I got a Samsung plasma TV from Amazon last month that came with a free Harmony 550. However, the invoice showed a price of $77 for the remote. I can mail this in and get back another $8.

Does this email say a timeframe for purchase of TV. I bought a HDTV last year, and the remote less than 30 days ago I believe. I was wondering if I could get Amazon CSR to apply the code!

Looks like a really good deal for this logitech remote. But is it really such a hassle to have to use more than one remote instead of a universal one?
