FYI

The -R indicates a Red version with a silver faceplate. A -K indicates a Black version as shown in the picture on the Frys website. The description states it's black so I suspect it is and they just goofed on the part number. Either way it looks like a good deal. I've been wanting a weather station alarm clock so this may be the one I get.

Main unit runs on batteries only. I wonder how long the batteries will last if used as a daily alarm clock. I'm lazy and hit the snooze a lot. Wish it has a wall adapter input at least.

on amazon it says it comes with a wall adapter. not sure if this one does though.
