Can I get XP or upgrade to Vista Premium?
No, this system is not configurable. What you see is what you get.
BUT, you CAN downgrade it to windows XP if you have a copy as the drivers are readily available from dell support.
Can I upgrade the memory?
Yes, but since it's 2 1gb sticks, you'd have to buy 2 2gb sticks and replace them. Laptops only have 2 slots.
I'm not a business, can I still buy it?
Yes, you can. They don't check for tax id or scorp.

So say I'm logged into a low reception network, surfing the web and doing whatever, if I lose that connection and have to restart it my Wifi utility will stop showing any wireless networks. Doesnt matter if there were 5-10 of them there 30 seconds ago they will all be gone and I wont be able to connect to anything until I restart my computer. I tried turning the wifi on and off, via the wifi catcher and the dell utility. Only a restart seems to fix it, and only until it disconnects again. I also tried updating the wifi card driver, no luck. Anyone have a similar problem or know how I can fix this? |

When I am home on my router I have no problem in DEVICE MANAGER my minicard shows as DELL 1390 .This was used in some older models and I guess what device manager , plus bill say about Mini Card is correct Do you think this driver could cure my problem ? Anyone have a similar problem or know how I can fix this? |
