Find North Face at Marshalls and TJ Maxx stores YMMV

A lot of these stores are now carrying North Face. I have been into some Marshalls in North Carolina that carry Northface clothes and backpacks and to either a Ross or TJMaxx in South Carolina that carries it. I believe it was TJMaxx though. Great prices too. The backpacks I remember were like $39 and regularlly around $90.

Very hard to ever find anything in M-Large sizes. I've gotten a Denali Shell($60) and a rain coat($50) from TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack. Selection is almost always very limited, and so are qtys. If you can find them. And I peruse quite often.

Two stores in the same town will often get completely different items. I've had the best luck in the Marshalls stores in the big cities -- they tend to get better stuff and have more of it.

So I dont think its neccessarily the large cites.

Most people who aren't avid outdoorsmen haven't. People who wear it are usually true backcountry skiers, climbers, etc and they pay the premium price for function, not for the logo like most North Face stuff. Cloudveil is based in Jackson Hole where they use what they design. They started the whole "softshell" revolution and are on par if not better than Patagonia. Most North Face stuff is not even in the same league as Cloudveil until you get to the high-end professional outfitter clothing. Its awesome that some overstock is reaching TJ MAXX...hopefully the stores in my area will have it.
