Costco return policy on food?

ajrichie 23 February 24, 2008 at 05:38 PM
I'm not sure if this should be posted here.

I bought some protein powder from Costco about a month ago. It was okay so far but I can't stand the fake sugar substitute in it anymore. Does anyone know if Coscto allows you to return food? It's still more than 3/4th's full.

Costco will let you return anything. They are probably the most generous with their return policy than any other store out there.

just say you think you're allergic to something in it and don't know what.
They'll take it back.

Good to know. I just bought a ginormous bag of Kirkland Rwandan French Roast. Haven't tried it yet, but good to know I can return if I don't like it.Smilie

I returned some fish sticks before. I just told them that I don't like it. That was it, no questions ask.

In fact, I have a bag of chips that I don't like. So I'm planning on taking it back.

I returned food because I bought them thinking that they may be good and I really don't like it. I'm not going to throw my $10 away (the fish stick was $10)

You are frigging ridiculous. Being frugal is one thing, returning a 3 dollar bag of chips because YOU bought a bag of chips that YOU don't like is just being a pathetic cheapskate. Just because you don't like something IS NOT a valid reason to return it. You buy something and you don't like it you don't buy it again, you don't eat half of it and then return it. People abusing return policies jacks up prices and results in more strict policies for those of us that aren't dildos.

Iagree Return it because there's something wrong with it. Not because you just didn't like it.

I returned ravioli there once. Brought it straight home and into the fridge...was moldy 3 days later (over a month until the sell by date).

Exactly.
People think they can run all over stores and expect lower prices and great service.

All this does is make the company more strict on return policy and raise their prices because they will have to throw away this bag of chips, which they paid for.
