WARNING - myrebateonline

I just wanted to warn those of you who submit rebates to www.myrebateonline.com (it's the Bensalem, PA processing center).

It's often used by Kaspersky, Zone Alarm, Migo, Honestech, and others.

I had a number of my rebates from Thanksgiving show up as invalid due to missing UPC. My photocopies clearly showed the UPC. I contacted them 3x using the online form on their site, and never got a response. I called them, and spoke with a lady, who though nice, didn't seem to know anything. She looked up my rebates and said that the UPC were to blurry to read. She said they scan them into their computers. She went and looked at the original paper ones and said that it was the right UPC. I asked her how that was right, denying my rebate because they couldn't read their own scans of my rebate? She said that probably wasn't right, but that's how they did it.

Well, she said she'd validate all of them, but only one of them ended up being validated.

I've never had a problem with the Kaspersky or Zone Alarm rebates going to that address, but all of the other ones I have.

Not that it's unique in the rebate world, but that sounds like the same lady I talked to today at that company. I think she may be the only Customer Service rep they have considering the long hold times.

I, too, went thru the equally clueless Q/A with her today. I received an $80 check from them, but the attachment made no mention of what it was for nor was the "receipts dated 2/27/08" make any sense either. Since none of my rebates were for that amount, I figured it must've been a combo. However, the CSR lady had no idea what it was for nor had any record of a check being mailed to me. I told her I was incredulous about this and that her company is a mess. I just trashed her and her company a little bit more before hanging up. I'm not worried about their losing my rebate.....I've got my copies and Fry's has always backed me up.

I hope to collect the rest of my rebates soon, but these guys have no idea what they are doing. I expect something like the MyRebates411.com mess where they lost their RAID array (hmmm, was the concept of processed document storage, proper batch processing and maintaining backups missing to them? Something the SEC should look into for those guys) or worse.

If you are deciding on a product where the rebate goes to Bensalem, PA & the online status site is MyRebateOnline, you have been warned! I'm not going to send any more rebates to these jokers until I hear some much better feedback.

I think we have similar experience. I sent a rebate on zonealarm to a Bensalem, PA PO box. It was back in October 2007. I call them up several weeks ago. They said they recieved my rebate but waiting for money from ZoneAlarm. I email ZoneAlarm, they said the rebate offer wasn't theirs. Basically I got stucked.

I went to Fry's rebate service counter and give them my copy of submission. The lady called me back and say the check will be on the way.

I am not sure I will get my 40 bucks or not. But it certainly is scary.

woa i'm in the exact same boat. i think we'll get it though. i kinda do believe that part of the reason why rebate companies take so long to deliver checks is that the manufacturers take forever to supply the funds.

zone alarm rebate submission: 10/20/2007 12:00 AM; Purchase Date + Time: 10/12/2007 6:10 PM!!!!!!!

If you sent in your rebate in october 2007 and it is now March 9 2008, i wouldnt expect to see it.

I submitted five rebates to www.myrebateonline.com ,
one say " Transaction # is missing",
two say "Offer is not active",
all are Kaspersky rebates.
Never buy Kaspersky product with rebates.
