update -- I called a few stores to see if I could go in and pick this up & they said this is a mistake on the website & it wouldn't be honored in store --- I got my confirmation yesterday, so go get it before they know theres a mistake --- Good Luck

Because iPods are pretty much price fixed (like consoles) these have to be refurbished / recertified but nothing wrong /w that imho. A great deal, possibly better than the $80 deal for the 4gb models back on Friday.

Well considering that the 4GB model is ONLY in silver, I'd assume people wouldn't want a silver 8GB model, especially with the iPod being as much of a fashion accessory than a useful device. I'd choose black if I had the choice anyways, but if I was going Zune I do like the brown model (love the semi clear green plastic over it).

yeah it's ugly...and besides...the 1st and 2nd generation had a MUCH better look and feel...shame on apple for replacing them with small fatties
