The Zen V 1gb and 2gb players, at $20 and $25 with free ship, are a great deal--a colleague got these at the last sale and they were gone within 1/2 an hour. They came in brown cardboard packaging but otherwise were as if new.

I got a refurb Zen V, granted it came in a brown box it was pretty much a brand new unit.

I got an item all scuffed and screen scratched...They said, they wont even take a return on refurb items....So the pics you see, wont be the ones you get. Their customer service is aweful, and they show u the hidden terms.

Beg to differ, the Zen V I got on their last sale was essentially brand new. no scratches, no wear at all. I would bet it was actually new.

Creative customer service has been terrible when I've had to deal with them in the past. I'll never buy another sound card from them after they pretty much refused to release free Vista drivers for their older stuff. Creative also banned people who engineered better drivers for their cards from their own forums.... WTF

Anyways I'd buy a little cheap MP3 player maybe but otherwise I'm done buying Creative products. Have to admit my little 1GB Zen nano works quite well, though I bought it new.
